Love The Country Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Love The Country

Rating: 5.0

Love the country and its people
How much they had to struggle?
To give you freedom and liberty
Of course with the blessings from almighty

Why is not blowing that peaceful wind?
Why messages are not received of any kind?
We used to read liberal speeches of moral values
Where are those statesmen who used to provide clues?

World peace belonged to not one group alone?
The devastation effect was felt after cyclone
We all knew holocaust of deadly wars
For time being it is now pushed very far

Every year we remember two cities
Their dreadful demises by democratic forces
It happened under the name of liberation
World was to have beginning of new relation

We are facing worst scenario today
Terrorism is not giving up its way
Death is lurking around for innocent people
We are proving helpless and incapable

Let you belong to any religion
Let you may be in any region
Pray sincerely for change of heart
Let humanity not die or depart

We have malnutrition and hunger problems
The droughts and cyclones are taking ugly turns
We can face no more man made disasters
We have lot more to shed tears

Let roses not loose their color
Let earth be not tune into dishonor
We have to send peaceful messages across
Let skirmishes and bloodshed have little pause

A wish for peace Lisa Spears3 days ago I sincerely like the message of this poem. Who would not wish for peace? I think on the last line maybe you mean Let skirmishes and bloodshed have no cause? I guess I'm confused on how the last line is worded. I would want skirmishes and bloodshed to have much pause vs. little pause. If skirmishes and bloodshed are paused, then they are not happening. Thanks for your message of peace my fellow poet.
