Love Story (4) (Marriage Document Is Just A Paper) Poem by U Win Kyi

Mr chen is aged 102.
Ms Lin is aged 92.
They are living together for more than 6 decades,
happily raising 8 children without marriage.
Ms Lin's husband was conscripted by force,
by the Japanese Imperial Army Force,
during 2nd World War,
a time so distant and far.
He was sent to a country of Southeast Asian, a foreign land.
Since then he disappeared with no return, not knowing where and when.
Mr Chen, then a widower with 4 children has been taking care of her since 1944.
With him, she gave birth to more children, a total of another 4.

September 7th,2008 was a typhoon day.
so rainy, so windy.
With no musical band play,
they held the wedding ceremony,
with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren so joyful and happy.
Singing ' Here comes the bride.'
watching the most beautiful sight,
Chen putting a gold ring on Lin's finger,
planting a kiss on her cheek so tender.

' Marriage is not all sunny,
sometimes rainy and stormy,
like a typhoon weather.
Only if one cares,
it is not a serious matter.
As long as they are of one heart and mind,
they can get through it in no time.'
These are Lin's Philosophy,
filled with simplicity.

For 64 years, they have been together without paper or documents.
Their hearts are bound by a strong cement.
For newly-wed couples it really encourage,
to lower the present-day high divorce rate.
