Love Sonnet 201: 'The Lines She Wrote Still Linger In My Mind'

Rating: 3.5

The lines she wrote still linger in my mind,
So full of care, caress and sweet regard,
That when I sleep, in dreams, I still would find,
Those very rhymes from such a lovely bard;
The words though parted by the sea and night,
Soar high above the waves, like gulls that fly,
And even in the darkness dare in flight
All through the web to cruise at any sky;
But rather, I would quest to catch her smile,
To last me joys until the end of Time,
That as I trod the journey mile by mile,
I have more than the wishes of a rhyme;
......Such that at times when I am low on joys,
......I'll just think of those lips the smile employs.
