LOVE’S TRANSIENCE
Love
Had it once
I thought
Then it left
Or was it
Dreams
I’d caught
Spun on wishes
Fed on air
Ephemeral
Transient
Never really
There
Love
Had it once
Or so it seemed
And then I saw
Vacant space
Where brilliant light
Had it’s base
Promises
And hopes held dear
Possibilities
So clear
Now a memory
Once it streamed
Love
Had it once
So I’d deemed
