Love's Sweetness Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

Love's Sweetness

It's love's sweetness,
That keeps me company,
It wraps around my shoulders
And whispers in my ears.

It's love's sweetness,
That plays on my heart strings,
Playing melodies not heard before
With the same fervent caress,
By any one else.

It's love's sweetness,
That sings me a lullaby in
The middle of the night when
I reach out to touch you and
You respond with moans
of endearment.

It's love's sweetness,
That spins the essence of you around
In my head and I am not afraid
To adore and love you.
