Every bosom has a depth for love, yet,
Not every bosom gets a share of it.
Every bosom yearns for love,
Yet, not every bosom responds to it.
Even when a dry leaf falls on a lake,
The water ripples.
When just a look of love is cast,
The bosom quivers.
Ripples are caused not by gravity,
But by a surface tension.
Quivers are caused not by a force,
But by an irresistible attraction.

Wow, this poem was meant for me to read today. I love it! I know exactly of which you speak. I get quivery all over when I talk to a certain person even on the phone and the same in person. When just a look of love is cast, the bosom quivers, says it all. Perfect!
@Patricia Clark, thanks for the appreciative comment. I am glad that you could relate to the poem and that makes me feel so inspired as a poet. Your comment made my day, though I am acknowledging it after more than five years- so belatedly! You haven't written a new poem here for a very long time. Hope you are alright? ?
