Love Questioned Poem by Paul Storm

Love Questioned

when does

the afterthought of
an unfulfilled love

replace

the sober reality of
an expecting kiss?

why are

pavement cracks always
avoided by skipping girls

while little boys
try to make them?

breaking the scents of
mother's cooking

inviting you
to that place
that is your world

your home
