Love On The Trails Poem by Michael Peterson

Love On The Trails

Many walks, lots of trails
Beautiful scenery all around
Flowers, Trees, plants everywhere
Squirrels running wild
Birds flying over, singing from above
The tree full of green, soon to be changed
Walking the trails I see many
Families and joggers going by
Bikers and skaters rolling by
A beautiful day to walk with mother nature
There I spot an angel down the way
She looks so gorgeous by the lake
Standing all alone, glaring ahead
A curvy silhouette, hair blowing in the wind
Do I have the mind to approach
To say hello and Introduce myself
Or high tail down the path
To lead me to a safer place
Or do I open the door for her
Express my soul to her
She is the dream I have been waiting for
All alone on the trail of life
To find the beauty of nature
To love her, to hold her
She is one of god's creatures
Beautiful by the lake
An angel of nature
I dream of her, live for her
I only want her to want me
I continue on the trail
Still looking for her
Passing by the lake
Thru the trees
Listening to the birds sing
Will I ever find the love of My life?
Gone as quickly as she came
Drifted away like the clouds in the sky
Just memories of her by the lake
Love on the trails of life
