Love Of You Poem by Alex McCullough

Love Of You

The clear sky has finally shown itself,
So lets sit in the playground and drink sodas like we used to,
Relaxing and laughing without a care,
That is how I want to spend these days with you,
Running through the peaceful skies,
Smashing into trees and walls,
Because I've been watching you without paying attention again,
Now let me cover up my affections with a mirror wrap,
So I can see you, but you can't see my feelings,
But even that doesn't help much,
Because everytime I see your face,
My heart starts to speed up,
At a frightening pace,
Making me think it's gonna explode!
Could this be, just a dream?
If it is, then please,
Let me wake up in your arms,
It's time to wake up and face reality!
Even if all the walls of the world start closing in on me,
And the waves of change are about to collide,
I'll use the passion of my burning heart,
To burn all these obstacles away,
Fighting wildly with a determination known as love,
I'll break through my fear in my heart,
So I can jump off the edge of this world,
And dive into yours.
