Love Me

Whose heart
Is sealed
In this poem
It is I
The luckiest
Poet
She appeared
From nowhere
Cuffed my pride
Brittle my tongue
Snapped my breath
Are these signs?
Of death
I welcome
Death itself
To shed
My old skin
Here I am
Yesterday
Today
And
Tomorrow
The happiest
Being
On earth
The universe
The heavens
To celebrate
My new birth
Into the
Fold
Of humanity
The purpose
Of life
To find love
That perfect
Key
Unlocks
All
What ails?
Me…
Away from
Depravity
You are
My key
My one love
My new birth
My universe
My heavens
Beauty
Is Truth
In Love

Poem of the Day

poet Robert William Service

Just Home and Love! the words are small
Four little letters unto each;
And yet you will not find in all
The wide and gracious range of speech
Two more so tenderly complete:
