Love Lost In A Song Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Love Lost In A Song

Rating: 5.0

The cool dawn brings
A fresh memory of you
With the air cloyed with
Fragrance of flowers you
Did adorn your hair with;
The long tailed bird reminds
Me the mild curve you made
Around your eyes with mascara;
Low on the horizon the streak
Of light appears as your smile
When we used to come
Unexpectedly into each others
Hearts and acted as if unknown
To each other to kill shame;
Sitting on the steps I look
At the placid water of the lake
And get immersed in your
Liquid eyes and get soaked
In the wetness of you love.
Me is not me anymore as our
Love gets lost in songs of wise
Peddlers as nice country lores.

A poem of love and longing! To a lover, every beautiful object reminds him of his sweet heart! It was not an open love, but love hidden from all inquisitive eyes! There is a special charm for such covert love! A passionate write!
