Love Lost Poem by Michael Ernst

Love Lost

Rating: 4.5

She filled my world with sunshine
I thanked her with clouds of rain
She made me feel complete and loved
I failed for her to do the same

She spent too many nights missing me, left alone and blue
Only now do I understand and feel the pain I put her thru

She says I killed her love for me
That once was deep pure strong and true
And forced her into the arms of another
To begin her life anew

They say love cannot kill a man, and true this may be
But one thing is for certain, love lost has killed me
