in the theater of your
dreams
you are the lone performer

two chairs and a table
serve as your usual audience

there is no need to introduce
yourself
they already know you
from day one to day end

you recite a poem or two
sing some of your songs
and then you dance the tap
and do the Latin steps
a little reggae
and gangnam

this is your small world
who believes in you
it does not matter if this is
another delusion
which may need further elaboration
for a possible brain concussion

it makes you happy and secure
for the moment
and it is the most important thing
keeping you sane
and happy...yes happy

that to me is the most important thing
of all the other important things

since no one gives it to you
then you give it to yourself,
and that is the most important thing that you can ever
do. Love, live, believe.
