Love is the only currency

That can get us love
For someone us to love
Just give out love to that person
So as to be loved back thereon
Whether it is between wife and husband
Or mother and child
Or siblings or close friends
Let us keep in mind
That magic mantra or precious being
As love that keeps us moving
At the outset, it’s felt good
Of every relationship whether of friends
Kindred, mother and child
As we focus only on things and things good
But with time we start focusing
In him/her what is lacking
Taking all the good qualities
For granted and counting his/her negatives
To suit our needs and thanks to the law of attraction
That keeps us getting more of lack and less of mien
Then there are allegations and accusations
And daily arguments ensue to the bone
There are plenty of ‘what if’ and ‘if only’
And ‘yes, but” and ‘wish I had done things differently”
And “but for you, my life would be heaven”
Thus go things on and on to strain relations
Instead of giving love, we tend to give other things
Like judgement, anger, fear, worry, irritations, likes and dislikes
That serve no heart upheld by hope and love
Then what exactly is love?
Love is anything that feels good
Deep down that makes life look cheerful and profound
Love is sharing, love is caring
Love is accepting, love is giving
Love is understanding, love is forgiving
Love is respecting, love is trusting
Love is faith, love is compassion
Love is bending down to lift someone who is down
Love is tackling our near and dear ones with an iron hand
But within a velvet glove that does goad
Love is harmony, love is life
The absence of which is strife
So go for love anyday, anytime, and anywhere
Open your heart, become vulnerable and tender
And connect to the heart of another
For you are blessed with only jewel fair
As love you can spare and love is the only currency
That can get us love with warmth and ardency
