love is all,
the laughter and the tears that fall
the smile and the heartbreak
the pain and the tenderness
buried in the depth of the heart

if love is all,
you'll find someday
pieces of your broken heart
buried across forgotten shores
and dancing like Humpty Dumpy
you'll remind yourself love like rose
has thorns that hurt

but in moments of your despair
in moments of your loneliness
when we say goodbye and our tears
swell to fill a cup that is when we realize
how much we love and care for each other

just because, love is
the laughter and the tears that fall
