Love Is Poem by grace mariner

Love Is

Love is caustic.
It corrodes and bites deep into the flesh and bone of the weak.
Love is arrogant.
It displays its own self importance in spite of evidence to the contrary.
Love is painful.
It causes the human heart more agony than 1,000 cancers.
Love is willful.
It bends and contorts us to meet its needs.
Love is evil.
It is the red dust that veils your eyes from the voodoos kiss.
Love is filth.
Its decadence is obscene and foul.
Love is addiction.
It is a craving that leads to self loathing and despair.
Love is sadistic.
Heartless and cruel, it thrives on the victims blood.
Love is common.
It is vulgar work, leaving dirt under the nails.
Love is dominant.
It rules over its subordinates with a cat o' nine and evil black pinchy things.
Love is hypocrisy.
It lacks the very moral standards it claims to possess.
