Love In Blue And Green Poem by Judith Vriesema

Love In Blue And Green

In a snow that falls ever so gently through an empty street,
motion chases conversations of lovers skating across a reykjavik lake
while swans follow points of light
in skies that reflect blue green ice in a midnight cafe.
You run after shadows in candle lit rooms that echo the scent of fallen sea winds;
your words always poetic in emotional silence;
a silence that blankets your soul and envelops me within a shadow of a winter's night.
You compose conversations to ghosts who slipstream through the air flying across concrete dreams that sigh through faded windows;
windows that chase patterns in countless whispers of love.
The past quiets the present and streams through my fingers;
threads of light weaving each successive moment into a timeless saga.
One sigh, one breath lights thousands of stars that cross the sea to where the sun sleeps in ancient moss,
and music beckons the soul to dream within twilight colours of blue and green;
puddles of ice chasing the nearness of infinity
