Love For The Interest Poem by Abdul Wahab

Love For The Interest

Too much cherubic
Always in motion
A chattering box
Producing colourful words
All the time incessant
On me you do experiment
Every word from out side
You learnt, on the processes
You have given me so many bad names
Though no words of mine you listen
Still day by day you increase
Your pretty unjustified demand
Sometimes I meet those
Sometimes I sternly reject
Your mood goes hanky panky
Starts a pang stormy in my soul
You give me a look hard scornful
Throw things at me and give threats
Of snapping ties shout and scold
Still I do not know why my love
Goes every time for you many fold.

It is perhaps the love of the interest
Of that principal money deposited
Early in the bank.
