Love Ending Defeat Poem by Brianna Trombley

Love Ending Defeat

Rating: 5.0

We sit here together
No words to speak
Overwhelmed by agony
Caught up in defeat

Somehow, somewhere
Something went wrong
What happened to our love
Once felt so strong

We can feel the silent presence
As the end nears
We are cold and displaced
Can shed no more tears

So distant we’ve grown
Neither willing to compromise
These last few years
Intertwined full of lies

We are done pretending
To love like before
I’ve become old and tired
My hearts broken and sore

The papers lie in front of us
Arrows show were to sign
I reach for the pen
And put my name on the line

This story of ours
Has finally drawn to an end
After all these years to together
This is goodbye my friend

A good mature poem at your age shows that you have the talent......A good picture drawn about a relationship that was once adorable full of love and emotions yet came to an end with compromises online.......One has to move on with life without getting into depression of broken relations considering the message conveyed in this poem................10
