I never believed in
love at first sight
Until I met you
that fateful night.

When your eyes met mine
across the crowded room
I felt such a thrill
and then time stood still.

When your hands touched mine
in a gesture of friendship
I was unprepared for the rush of feeling
that coursed through my entire being.

When you spoke to me
just a few words of greeting
I willed my lips to open
But the words 'I LOVE YOU ' remained unspoken.
