Love And A Fire Poem by Laureate Ezekiel

Love And A Fire

And as it raises,
Ever higher,
Seemingly forever,
A misfit and a hope...
And as it raises,
A counterweight must fall,
Seemingly forever,
Closed eyes and a shattered dream...
And as it raises,
They confide in each other,
Seemingly forever,
Love and a fire...
And as it raises,
It freezes in place,
Seemingly forever,
A memory and a trance...
And as it raises,
It's us.
Seemingly forever,
Two hearts and one soul...
