What I consider godly which is still in the verse is the sense of eternity, measured by the hope and longing in the heart. People can lose hope and surrender to defeat. But the godly sense in human heart that calls us to keep on hoping and believing, knowing that there is that eternal presence greater than our doubts and our own limitations.
