Love (A Dedication) Poem by Amanda May Moore

Love (A Dedication)

love is God
God is love

love is a responsibility
not just a silly
possibility.

love is inevitable
it fits into each
day, each word.

love is your attitude
toward the world,
measured in gratitude.

love can be tough
but coincidently
always enough.

love is a fine art
one that has begun
never to depart.

love will be found
as the tiniest gift,
surely profound.

love is made in a smile
a wink, a wish, a kiss.
and all the while

love never piles up
or collects dust
or molds, or rusts.

love is a shop that
never locks up
door's always open;

even if not,
you have the key
to open the lock.

love invites us in
tellings where each
of us have been.

love is a hiding place
in times of need
a breathing room-space

love is a pillow of comfort
always giving you that
much needed support.

love is a bolt of lightening
through your veins that
occurs not only when it rains.

love is a color, it's blue
and how it makes you feel
and in what it makes you do.

love is a lion,
ferociously strong
without even tryin'.

love is a hammer
pounding through your life,
sealing enamor.

love can hope all things,
an anchor in the storm
affixed in blessings.

love is a promise
that is defined
not by the wise, but the skies

love feels the earth quake
every time there is a
heart break.

love is a motion
into how it is we
express emotion

love is poetry
the lyrics between
you and me

love is a thief
of any and all
disbelief...

love without doubt
we will forever
write about.

For some reason I especially like this part. 'love never piles up or collects dust or molds, or rusts.' Love is forever...yet never to be taken for granted.
