Love Poem by Brent McCracken

Love

Love can be the greatest feeling known to man, it can lift you up, like the winds beneath the wings of a dove, fill you with warmth, like the rays of a summer sun shining on your face, fill you with hope, like food for your ravenous soul.
But love also has a dark side, that lays everything to waste, like the dust of an anciant civilization, it can create fissures in your heart, that cause you to fall to your knees and curse the creation of your exsistance, cause you to loose all hope, and wish the demise of your fire inside.
Love is a word that invokes feelings of happiness, and loathing all in the same, it can bring forth life from a soul that was once barron, or bring on decay, like the rotting of flesh.
Love affects us all in different ways, but no matter how we feel it's embrace, our soul and life will never be the same.
