There's something about the world I live in,
The people I meet,
The places I go,
And the people I see.
They brighten my day
In an odd, odd way.
I wonder why.
I've been thinking and thinking
And now I know.
It warms my heart
And cools my anger.
It lets me relate
To a complete stranger.
It surrounds me at all times,
Whether it's in school or at home.
It makes me feel like
I'm never alone.
Now I know what this feeling is
In the world I live in,
The people I meet,
The places I go,
And the people I see.
