Lost Password Poem by R K Summers

Lost Password

Lo, my password is forgotten!
I need it to access a site
Whereupon I would find
Some music I need for my homework.

But, O! my password is forgotten!
I asked the site to send me an email
Reminding me off my beloved password
(and my username too, which I also forgot)

Oh, how is my password forgotten?
The site has been cold of my presence,
I have not visited it in some time
And so the cookies were disabled.

Curses, why is my password forgotten?
I cry out in alarm, as I search
AOL for a reminding email,
That contains the password of glory.

But, O! that password has been forgotten,
By the site too, it seems,
For that precious reminding email
Has not arrived.

Damn that password that is forgotten!
I think the internet is broken…
I don’t think I’ll get my password back,
Lo! The big grey box has spoken.
