Lost Infancy Poem by Nimmy.K Alilakuzhyil

Lost Infancy

My heart craves feather touch

Of boundless paternal affection

And warmth of motherly embrace

In this journey of flamboyant world,

When all night I lay awake

Waiting to hear fables

Wrapped in vibrant colors

Full of sweet emotions

Taking me too fantasy land...

Trapped in isle of rogues

Horror swallowed my dark nights

And heart’s desires parted ways

As money spinning ways

Ruled hearts of men.

Oh God! Are you deaf?

To sobs and silent plea

Of my lonely nights

When silencing innocence

With ruthless words

And violent beatings

Pushing me harshly

To bogus world.

Remembering doomed ones

The victims of abuse

My ruptured heart

Sings in melancholy

Oh, cold hearted world!

Never raise your axe

Crushing sweet dreams

Offering lifetime nightmares

For your bizarre ways

Devoid of benevolence

Snatches golden days of life forever
