Lost In Thought Poem by David Harris

Lost In Thought

Rating: 4.5

There are many times
when it might look like
I have nodded off
but in fact I’ve closed my eyes
because I am lost in thought.

As a writer I find silence
an opportunity to let my
imagination run free
getting engrossed in thought
that fully captures me.

The problem with being lost
you lose all track of time.
As time has no meaning in thought.
Exploring our imagination
takes us away from the present.

Deep in thought can lead to
daydreams exploding well
within our mind
feeding our creative juices
with more things to tell.

Suddenly as we drift deep in thought
that any harsh noise
in the present can shake us
to wake up back to reality.

Great poem. The adventure of the mind, man's ultimate journey, and silence is the doorway. Insightful!
