Lost in the woods
A hiker spends a day
Wandering around
Where some old logs
Fallen and hallow found
A fairy-land to him it seems
And lost himself in dreams
Where in the sweetest slumber
In a cloudy-looking woods
A green goblin he sees
Shrouded with many a cloud
A voice sweet in the charmed retreat
Murmured echoing deep and wild
Seeming to say something
"I am learned and wise
Rhyme your poems please
I shall pay you a farthing
And be eternally grateful to thee"
Voice of an angle seemed singing
He said while I am groping
In the darkness today
Guardian angel is leading the way
Weary of life and its ceaseless strife
Laid down my head on woods fallen and gray
I found in the tuneful wood
The voice of God
Echoing soft and deep throughout the day

Instead of feeling traumatised at being lost in the woods, the man was able to enjoy the peace and serenity of the woods and enjoy the music of some invicible spirit, may be because the guardian angel was leading him! An exotic ambience is created in this poem! Enjoyed much!
