Lost In Paradise
Today I got lost in paradise
it didn't last long but it sure was nice
the world seemed to slow and almost stop
there was so much beauty being on top
the mountain was high and the climb was rough
but i knew it would be worth it if I just tried enough
finally i reached the peak and on the other side
that's when I got lost in paradise
the view was great and the beauty was deep
the edge of the cliff was jagged and steep
but as I was told you were waiting for me
that's the first time I could actually see
The sky was blue as it kissed the sea
almost like that spot was made for you and me
with endless beauty amongst the trees
and the birds flying with the breeze
I sat down beside you my hand on your knee
slowly you turned and smiled at me
I smiled back and looked you in the eyes
and that's when I got lost in paradise
