Lost Freindship Poem by Frandy Osias Louis

Lost Freindship

My mind becomes my prison
Chained to a heart which meant to cause no pain
Thoughts consume my every word
One voice is spoken
But sound is never herd
A friend so close
Yet the past keeps him farther away
Trapped in this present
As my mind remains buried on yesterday
feeling so left out
My being wants to fade to black
Shadowed by so much anger
So I drift towards the back
As I speak, every word is ignored
Trying to shield the pain
But your actions become the sword
So I remain to the side
Where my anger never fails to linger
And my words choose to hide
So you are safe and I don't pull the trigger

That last line is a zinger. Really reaches the bottom of the barrel.
