Lost Poem by Oluwatosin Richard Shiba Aribo

Lost

The torn one, the shredded one, the one sitting by the window
The one that drinks alone,
The one summoned abruptly from the others,
Reticent soldier!
The one whose eyes are two red moons
The solitary one
Clenched soul,
Drunken lover of the renaissance
Orphan of the underdogs!
The one whose blood is soiled
Schizophrenic
At times the earth spins like a ball in my palm'
The one looking in the mirror'
The one with a dagger hidden away
The one banished!
Banished to that damp corridor between shadow, soul and gut'
The one without a name in Maths class
The one made of granite
The kissed mouth, The bitten mouth,
Wayfarer
The one without a face on the streets
Of Lagos
