Loss Of Confidence Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Loss Of Confidence

Rating: 5.0

Beneath the placid surface there is a world
Confirmed with an unpredicted birth date
It abruptly and unexpectedly was hurled…
Glasslike spears flew…aimed to penetrate

Caught off guard on the day of recognition
The sun was shadowed and all turned dark
A credible face melted …unplugging cognition
Triggering an urge to immediately disembark

Thoughts broke into a thousand puzzle pieces
There was no logic to the concept of perceiving
A ballot of confidence was folded into creases
A promise drifted away in flood of disbelieving
