Loss Poem by Brent McCracken

Loss

Rating: 5.0

My heart cries for you everyday, my tears soak the road you walk, for when I lost you, I lost all that I had left, I lost that was good and rightous in my life, my world seems bleak, shaddered, and in irreparable repair, my soul feels dark, my thoughts all alone, without you beside me, I will never know a place I can call home.
My only solace of joy, is knowing you are happy, and have found what makes you feel whole, for this I am greatful, because I love you more than you will ever know, I can look death in the face, with my head held high, For I am not afraid to die, I am only afraid of dying alone, without you by my side.
