Lord, I Hear Thunder

Lord, I hear thunder
It's a mighty mighty roar
And I see storm clouds rising
Rains getting ready to pour

Wake up everybody
Can't you understand
Somethings about to happen
Throughout this barren land

When God comes down here
And sees all of this mess
Who's going to stand up
Who's going to confess

Will you explain why
We all can't get along
Why so many have gone
From right to wrong

When the Heavens are opened
The sky turns jet black
There'll be no place to hide
And seas go rushing back

When the seven seals are broken
Then the book of life is opened
And your name isn't written there
Won't be able to run anywhere

Where will you be my brother
Where will you be my sister
Tell me where will you be
Where will you be

Lord, I hear thunder
Just cracking in the sky
Lord, I hear thunder
It's a mighty mighty cry

who writes the book of life?
    who placed the seven seals?
is it ok to question God's will?
    what of man's?
Is God a god of love or revenge, one to keep records of sin, unforgiven ?
Can man go toe to toe with God, wrestle down in sin?
Or can man raise up to him?
Holy be his name, with or without our name.
Broken seals are the breaking of promises everytime we have sinned
Only then can the book of life be opened
and God turns and downcast hands each one us the pen of records.
And we sign our name. (Report) Reply

Very well written, Patricia. But can we learn to live in togetherness. History speaks otherwise. I wish and pray to God to address your concerns. (Report) Reply

    Who's going to stand up
    Who's going to confess?
I bet if we all were to ask that question every day, we all would live a perfect and pure life.

The rumblings of thunder, we hear
    The doom's day so near
Where shall we run from here
To escape the wrath of God we fear?

It is high time for us to forget all rivalries and line up as a single file! ! A great write and a dire warning, Patricia! ! (Report) Reply

It would be wonderful if we could all learn to get along, but mankind doesn't seem to be capable of bringing it about. Sad state of affairs indeed. Very good write Patricia, a great message. (Report) Reply
