Lord Finchley Poem by Hilaire Belloc

Lord Finchley

Rating: 2.9

Lord Finchley tried to mend the Electric Light
Himself. It struck him dead: And serve him right!
It is the business of the wealthy man
To give employment to the artisan.

This common on the internet mistyping completely destroys the flow of an already poor poem. Himself does not belong there. It's a poem not a grammar test. Lord Finchley tried to mend the Electric Light, It struck him dead: And serve him right! It is the duty of the wealthy man, To give employment to the artisan.
