Lord Poem by Don Nguyen

Lord

May my humble gifts be magnified by your Divine Love
For my gifts can appear only humble to the most divine Giver Who possess all things
Look down now to think of me as your lowest of all your creatures
whom you once created, now mold, nourish his soul for your own divine pleasure
Create in me, Lord, a noble mind and kind heart
So I can sing love song, redundantly but melodiously to your ears
To hear alone for it is my sole purpose and intention
Not for the world to disregard, criticize, neglect or condemn
But to move your generous heart with pity to grant grace
To embrace all sinful souls who had long fallen into disgrace
To instruct, to heal, to console, to forgive
To rise their souls from their deepest slumber to worship you and to see the light
Prompt their hearts into prayers or noble thoughts
Thoughts which are saturated with love and kindness
To be outpoured, spilled into the beggar souls who longs for relief and blessing
With true or selfless love, sincerity and humility
They can become better senders themselves
Far away from their grandfather's noble purpose
They had long embarked their journey into dark lost world
I now try to bring them back the enlightening shores
Treading carefully for I do not want to ignore
The simple and true fact that poetry is not my cup of tea
Plus being a fool for love, I can easily be misunderstood or manipulated
To walk away with my head drooping down and bleeding heart
Therefore, with your endless Divine Love, please do not abandon me, my Love;
For more than ever I need you.

'Humble Gifts Magnified By Divine Love
Dearest Lord,
Early rising at the predawn hours, I bow down to worship
Heed my prayers now, my Lord my Savior
With most tender heart and my cries I now embark
To your sweet harbor, my soul my heart which have been wandering lost
For the cost of poetry to spread the message of love
I have ignored your most longing needs
For which your divine Heart is now bleeding
In loving me endlessly, oh my heart, why have you abandoned...'

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Don Nguyen 28 October 2013

I don't like cyberspace poetry anymore For it is more like good-grief than good-grace Now I scream whenever I see a poem Except my own Enough poem for one day you kill me slowly by hour by day if that is retaliation, you are doing very good job My spirit is dying along with my lone poet! No more reading until tonight But my beloved wife has threatened, either poetry or her You know my answer. No brainer Now go write about yourselves Not about me
