Loosing You Poem by Nandi Mhlongo

Loosing You

Loosing you

My 1st day without you, I cried
Because I felt like I was loosing you
I missed your smile,
I missed your voice,
I missed your actions
I am missing out a lot on your being
I am loosing you

On my arrival, I enjoyed nursing you
Giving you food that you’ve been living on,
All your life, I felt your connection to my heart,
Giving you that only me is able to give you,
You were mine all mine.
Loving you!

One day, you decided to refuse me,
'Only sooth my dreams, mammy'you said but
I wanted to nurse you all my life
Day & night but slowly
I am loosing you to the world
I am loving but loosing you!

On my lose, I fell pregnant,
I had morning sickness,
All senses were active but
It was all a lie, I just needed your rebirth
To have you in my arms again,
I felt emptiness beyond imagination,
I needed you to fill my womb again.
I am afraid of loosing you

On my lose, where to from here?
What else to do? Because the best
Thing I can do & I have ever done
Is you.

Please don’t go!
