Looking Through A Window Poem by Alyssa Lynn

Looking Through A Window

I feel like I’m staring through a window, merely walking by then you catch my eye. Suddenly all the emotions I dug deep, flood back like a river trying to drown me. I feel like I’m looking through a window, remembering what used to be my world. Reminiscing the emotions I felt once upon a time, digging up old wounds as if all I desire is to see the blood flow. I feel like I’m looking through a window, trying to grasp what could’ve been. I can’t help but wonder why I didn’t travel the path instead of the one I’m on. I’m looking in the mirror, wondering if I’m the person I want to be. So next time you see a former lover, or a remember a former passion that got lost in translation or maybe even just have a moment of de ja vu. Look back, but try not to live in the past otherwise you’ll forget that your living your life and boy would that be a shame.

Life is a precious commodity. Yesterday is always struggling to be apparent in today and if allowed in all tomorrows`. Love is never lost/missed but evolves to meet yet another season.
