Looking Forward
i was looking forward to a life time with you
i was looking forward to someone making my life new
i was looking forward to your hand caressing my face
while holding on to the warmth of your embrace
i was looking forward to being yours
i was looking forward to knocking on loves doors.
but now that i have knocked and my knock was unanswered
im looking forward to leaving not broken but battered
