Looking Back And Forth Poem by Josephine Lauderdale

Looking Back And Forth

It's all an effort to
Stop the noise

The monks can't really do it
Nor can I

Alone by the stream
You are not

There are and always will be
Two of you
Gazing back and forth

Close the door
And there are five of you with walls
And seven with ceiling and floor

Close your eyes
And
The whole world is with you
