The one you told you'll love forever
The one you told you'll leave them never
The one that woke up and told you it's over
The one that you thought you'll never get over
Looking back they're but a memory

You lost sleep over it
Constantly stressing over it
Too much that you forgot to eat
Looking back it worked out
The universe was good to you

Looking back you smile
For the far you've come
The miles you walked
Not in anyone else's shoe
But in your own albeit pinching shoe
