Looking Poem by Alexander Thomas

Looking

Rating: 5.0

What a gift is life,
With glimpses of heaven reflecting,
And gracious fortune intersecting,

Did you see a flower open?
Did you hear the first words spoken?
Did you let your imagination play?
And let it show you the way?

Look, look until you see,
Set your mind free!
Come, come with me,
Sense the wonder it is to be!

Did you collect shells on the beach?
And search for those places out of reach?
Did you forget how to be curious like a child?
Did you lose the path into the wild?

Look, look until you see,
Set your spirit free!
Come, come with me,
Feel the joy it is to be!

Have you walked upon golden sands?
And felt the warmth of loving hands?
Did you discern the lustre of the eye?
Did it overwhelm you to make you cry?

Look, look until you see,
Set your soul free!
Come, come with me,
Discover the enchantment it is to be!

Did you see the shooting star?
Did you catch the lighthouse beam from afar?
Did you run with the passion of youth?
Are you living your life in truth?

Look, see, feel, touch, live, love, be,
Set yourself free!
Come, come with me,
I'm waiting on the other side of the sea…
