Look Around You Poem by David Harris

Sometimes we have to stop
look around at what we got
step back and look
through someone else’s eyes.
Everyday we pass things
without giving them a second glance,
and then a stranger comes
and just gasps at the beauty
around where we come from.
We see it everyday
and not once does it register
the wonders that surround us.
It’s only when we step back
and look, at things through someone else’s eyes
we see the beauty we ignore everyday.
