Lonliness Poem by Julia West (julesx 64)

Lonliness

Rating: 4.0

Grips tight like a suffocating vice,
Disabling, Restricting, Paralysing,
To depend on one person alone....
Is a sad place to be,
He is socially busy... I am not....
He maybe 'lonely in a crowd' or has 'too many strings to pull together'

Feel I am socially useless,
Sad and Lonely, Outside of work my life shudders to a halt!
Killing myself by eating too much....
Becoming unfit, Tired emotionally... Tired physically....
Hate myself, with a deep sadness that grips like a vice.

Miss my lover,
Miss my Best friend,
Miss my acquaintances linked with my old life,
Miss the familiarity of my old life.....

I fear that the writer is not alone in this world of the lonely. She is only alone, where loneliness takes its toll. With herself. GW62
