Longing Poem by David Lovell

Longing

When colorful leaves from above do descend
When those first snowflakes of winter fill the sky
When plants come to life upon getting rain on which they depend
When comes scorching heat I love so dear that makes others sigh
That is when I long for home the most

When I read the Psalms, Scripture songs heaven-sent
When in trials and troubles I feel the hand of God upon my shoulder
When time in most deep and heartfelt prayer is being spent
When the sun is almost set and God paints the clouds a color much golder
That is when I long for Home the most.
