Longhorn Sale Poem by Marilyn Lott

Longhorn Sale

Don’t you think they’re beautiful?
Just look at their Longhorn faces
They parade around the pastures
Going through their cow-like paces

I think they look a little aristocratic
Don’t you see what I mean?
Not the usual kind of cattle
They seem to enjoying being seen

As you gaze right through the fences
You can see the long handsome horns
Some are looking quite cheerful
But others look just a bit forlorn

No matter what the occasion
No matter where they are
The handsome longhorn cattle
Will always become a star

So if you want to spend some time
Watching cattle either dark or pale
Get yourself to an auction
And watch the Longhorn sale!
