Long Willie Babbitt Poem by John W. McEwers

Long Willie Babbitt

Long Willie Babbitt, the rock hard rabbit
sits pondering a life of crime.

Scratching his chin, he shouts out on a whim,
'I've not earned a nice lass in my life! '

Resolved to do better, his mind leaves its shelter
of BeeGees albums and wine.

He hops out his door, bereft of anything more
than intentions sweet and sublime.

But the first lady he meets, he tickles her feets
says, 'show me yours, and I'll show you mine.'
