Long Live Libya Poem by Alaa Elgadi

Long Live Libya

I stand up with every great intellect,
Rising for you my appreciation and respect.
I write my love story on the dawn's breeze,
With you and the witness is the scent of lemon trees.
I gaze at your map seeing you a vulture,
I pour into my mind your fragrant culture.
I carry my pen and my gun,
To wipe the silence dust from your sun.
I speak to defend your dignity issue,
I kneel down to cover you with the honor tissue.
I pray for GOD to protect your people,
I water your soil to be not feeble.
I paint my loyalty by each cloud,
I say ' Long Live Libya' so loud.
I sculpt on your sea whose shores are three,
“My country Libya was born free'.
