Long Forgotten (11/16/09) Poem by Kayleigh ....

Long Forgotten (11/16/09)

Rating: 4.5

The morning light rolls in, sending shimmering cascades across the shadowed dusty floor

Birds chirp merrily outside long barred windows, sending soft echoes through empty halls, welcoming the new day

A cool fall breeze rustles the leaves of a usually silent oak, leaving a few of its colorful leaves floating casually to the ground

The life of Fall awaits patiently outside the hollow inside of a once happy home, long been forgotten

That was awesome! The imagery was really good. I wish it kept going. I love the last line to. It's really sad though.
